GLOW CATS, GLOW

I just read that in South Korea they have cloned cats that have a certain florescent gene, which was manipulated in the process.  It was the first time cats with this gene had been cloned, and when exposed to ultraviolet beams the cats glow in the dark.  This is insane.  I really really want one.  My best friend and I have decided we're getting one.  Our best guy friend told us it wasn't real, and that it was made up and the picture was photo shopped.  I don't think it was really made up, if it made the yahoo homepage.  Its just to cool for him.  Click on the link to see a picture.

Q&A

Ten Years Ago: I don't remember that well considering that I was the first grade.  I hated first grade.  My teacher was mean.  I had good friends though, so thats good.  I probably went home everyday and watched "Full House."  I still remember that it came on at 5 on ABCFamily and I was addicted and always told my mom what happened on the episodes shown that day.

Five Years Ago: I was a seventh grader and even though I wasn't, I thought I was the shit.  I started to like boys and I was in my total awkward phase, which wasn't a very good mix.  I'm glad I'm not here anymore.

One Year Ago: I was an awkward timid freshman.  Better than the akward seventh grader, but still not so great.  I got to school dances the second they started with the rest of my awkward friends and waited around till the upper classmen got there to "initiate" the dancing.  I got my learner's liscence and drove my mom around everywhere until I became utterly bored with that and decided I wanted her to drive me around while I controlled the radio.  I got my first boyfriend.  I became obsessed with Fall Out Boy and alternative rock in general.  It was a good year.

Yesterday: Went to school.  Ran some errands.  Went home.  Did homework.  Decorated the Christmas tree.  Took a shower.  Dried my hair.  Watched the first five minutes of "Gossip Girl."  Talked on the phone.  Listened to my new Dave Matthews mix.  Read Glamour.

I'm such a teenager.

Five Songs I Know All the Words To: "Chain" by Fleetwood Mac.   "Seven Nation Army" by the White Stripes.  "Hangin Around" by Counting Crows.  Snakes on a Plane (Bring It) by Cobra Starship.  "Crazy on You" by Heart.  Most all Fall Out Boy.

Five Snacks: Original Gold Fish; Pretzels; Zebra Cakes; Pumpkin Br

Five Things I'd Do With $100 Million: Donate some to orginazations, charities, schools/families who need it; travel; buy good expensive food; buy things in the Sharper Image catalog that you always see and wonder "Who in the world would buy that?"; Buy a big stretch of land

Five Places I'd Run Away To: New York City, England,  Japan (I've always wanted to go), California, home

Five Things I'd Never Wear: pantyhose; mom jeans; grandma undies; fat socks; sweater with beaded/sequin cats on it (except maybe on that last one =] )

Five Favorite TV Shows: "The Office", "30 Rock", "Friends", "Saturday Night Live", "Gossip Girl"

Five Greatest Joys: eating amazing foods; napping; getting lost in a good book; new magazines; really good new movies

Five Favorite Toys: Transformers; My Little Ponies; Blindboxed Hello Kitties; Spring Loaded Light Sabers; MagnaDoodle

FERTILE MERTILE

I saw a preview for this new movie coming out around Christmas and I can not wait another second to go see it. It's called "Juno," and its about a high school girl who becomes pregnant.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nV-qlgFRfCE

That's a link to the preview.  It looks so damn good.  And Micheal Cera! Ooooh, Micheal Cera.  How I love thee. I don't care if this movie gets horrid reviews, I'm still going and paying seven bucks to see it.  I need to see "Thank You For Smoking."  I've only heard good things about it.  I started to watch it one time, but never got to finish it.  I read an interview with the woman who wrote "Juno," Diablo Cody, in Entertainment Weekley.  She seems like a cool chick.  I may have to add her to my "Celeberties who can be my Friends" List.

BORED ON MTV.COM

I've spent this morning reading up on some music and entertainment news.  Here's some things I found out.

Patrick Stump is gonna be on "Law and Order."  This really excites mes.  The episode involves and kidnapping and murder that takes place during a power outage.

The Red Hot Chili Pepper's bassist, Flea's house burnt down when wildfires broke out in Malibu.  Axl Rose's roof and part of his property were affected by the flames.

Perez Hilton and Pete Wentz are teaming up for a collaboration t-shirt for Pete's design company, Clandestine.  They've decided that the name of the t-shirt will be "I love being a shit-talker," but they're having a contest to determine the design.  The shirt is to be sold in the new Clandestine Industries store in Chicago and on the company's website and the winner will get their own copy of the t-shirt.

WHY AM I NOT SUPRISED?

I just read that there may be a Pete Wentz sex tape.  Not suprising at all.  I'm sure he wrote something on his blog about it.  I may have to check it out.

HELLO CUTIE

My dad and sister were out of town over Thanksgiving. They brought me back a Blindboxed Hello Kitty. She's so cute. What the whole deal is, is theres twelve different adorable Kitties, and they're sealed up in these little boxes when you get them so you don't know which one you get. Thus its a total suprise. I put my Kitty on my bedside table and she's the first thing I saw this morning when I woke up. She has made my day.

LEFTOVERS GALORE

Thanksgiving was nice.  We went to my Uncle's house.  It was nice since we hadn't gotten to see them in a long time.  We had a fried turkey, which sounds really red necky, but was so so so good.  My dad is big into Black Friday shopping, but since he was out of town we didn't do that much.  Mom wanted to go to The Container Store to get wrapping paper, and she told me we'd go to Best Buy and Circuit City.  Here's what I got:

http://ec1.images-amazon.com/images/P/B000GETTKM.01._SCLZZZZZZZ_.jpg

I'm absolutley addicted to this show.  It is probably my favorite show on TV right now.  It and "30 Rock."

I got this both, for myself and my boyfriend.  We are addicted to "House."  We always Tivo it and watch it together.  We're such nerds.

LOVE IT.

I don't know how I've lived so long without this album in my life.  I'm absolutley addicted to it.  Earlier on Wikipedia I read that there's a movie version of the album planned.  I think that would be magnificent.

I haven't gotten to listen to very much of this because I've been WAY too busy listening to American Idiot, but what I've heard so far I like.

I WISH.  We got the Circuit City too late to be able to get this beauty.  Oh well, maybe for Christmas.

Your Result: The West

Your accent is the lowest common denominator of American speech. Unless you're a SoCal surfer, no one thinks you have an accent. And really, you may not even be from the West at all, you could easily be from Florida or one of those big Southern cities like Dallas or Atlanta.

123 SCARY STREET

I just read an article on Yahoo! that said there was an screening of the early episodes of "Sesame Street" that now would have not been appropriate to show to children.  The article says that in an original episode of the "adult Sesame Street," as the writer calls it, a young girl is lonely and then found by an older man who takes her back to his house.  In the show, he only wanted to take her to meet his wife and have some milk and cookies, but now a days no one would show that to their children.  It really isn't suprising.  Back in the day people didn't have to worry as much about strange people talking to their children.  From what I've heard, children had much more freedom and the parents just didn't worry about their saftey.  Back then no one had to worry about their children meeting someone on Myspace and then wanting to meet them in real life.  What is the world coming to?

I spent most all of yesterday rereading Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli.  I had read it about four years ago and loved it.  For my birthday I got the companion novel he just wrote, so I reread the first one to remember what happens.  It is an amazing book.  I advise anyone who hasn't read it to read it.  The ending is perfect for the book.

I think I may buy myself that.

MY FAVORITE MOVIE!!!

I DON'T OWN EMOTION I RENT.

I went and saw "Superbad."  It was AWESOOOME.  I love love loved it.  And Micheal Cera is my new boyfriend.  Also it seems like anything that comes out of Judd Appatow's mind I adore.

I also finished an amazing book, Summer Sisters by Judy Blume.  It was sooo great.  It had the perfect mixture of humor and romance and sadness.  I couldn't put it down for a second.

Right now I'm at home watching "Rent."  I had forgotten how much I adore this movie.  The music is awesome.  Its amazing just to watch.  It looks so beautiful.  I saw Anthony Rapp give a speech one time.  It was amazing.

I'm sick and I do not like it one bit. I have a sinus infection complete with a stuffed up nose and gunk in my throat. All I've done is sat at home and watched TV. I hadn't seen any of this season of "The Office" and now I've seen it all. I also watched last nights "Gossip Girl." Oh my gosh. You probably shouldn't keep reading if you're planning on watching it cause I'm going into detail. Blaire and Chuck! I didn't like him at all at the beginning of the show, but he's starting to grow on me. I like him and Blaire together. I mean, Chuck's gross and all, but it seems like he actually really likes her. I don't know. And Dan's parents! How could you just forgive like that?? I think it would've taken more from me before I was snuggling it up on floor. I don't know. I would have to really love someone to forgive that fast. And the Guitar Hero!!! That scene was awesome! I'm glad Serena and Vanessa were friendly at the end of the episode. Okay, thats enough about "Gossip Girl." Here's some cool stuff I found on the interweb today.

YOU CAN HAVE ALL THOSE FAMOUS FRIENDS

I was thinking, why not write a list of famous people I think I could get along well with.  So, here it goes.

1. Tina Fey- Tina Fey makes me laugh.  No matter what.  I would love to be a writer for a TV show and I think I would have a great time just sitting with Tina somewhere discussing current issues.

2. Jack White- First of all, I LOVE the White Stripes.  I can really see me, Meg, and Jack chilling at some obscure bar talking about who knows what.

3. Diablo Cody- I don't know very much about her at all, but the other day I read an article about her in Entertainment Weekley and she really seems like someone I could get along with.  The article made her seem like she had the best personality ever and really someone I'd wanna hang out with.

Thats all I can think of for now.  Maybe some more later?  Looking back over these I see that they're all pretty much the same, but with different people.  Oh well.
